Mohammed Mohammad hails from a local city. He lives in a small house consisting of 2 rooms, along with his parents and siblings. Mohammed is the oldest among two sisters and a brother. Mohammed in his childhood suffered with Polio, which affected both his limbs. His left leg was shorter than the other and this made walking very difficult.

On his visit to our clinic, he was sent to our consulting surgeon who advised him to undergo a surgery. Mohammed's father is a carpenter and earned a meager income which was insufficient and was also very difficult for the family to afford this surgery.

He finally underwent the surgery in June 06. At the end of 5 months, the surgeon removed the rods and placed his leg in a plaster cast. Praise God the limb had grown by 7 centimeters! Through the generous interventions of Equip India donors, he was able to go through the surgery. Mohammed and his family were so thrilled to see the difference. Mohamed is now out of the cast and is on regular physiotherapy for proper walking pattern and strengthening of his leg muscles.
